ALMA B. POSTON Alma B. Poston, 86, of Florence, passed away on Friday, October 07, 2016 at the McLeod Hospice House. Mrs. Poston was born in Florence Co., SC a daughter of the late Bobby Brunson Barino and Janie Turner Barino.She was a member of the Baptist faith and had worked at Electro-Motive and later at the Eatmore and Venus restaurants. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Jeff W. Bruce, Buddy Monroe and LaRue Poston; son, Don Bruce; brothers, Preston Burris, Oscar Barino and James Barino; sisters, Bell Moore, Louise Weatherford, Annie Mae Hatchell, Mary Smith and Kathleen Wild. Surviving are her sons, Glenn (Deborah) Bruce, Terry (Tammy) Bruce and Larry Bruce; daughters, Judy (Danny) Thompson and Martha (Larry) Nettles; daughter-in-law, Cathy Bruce; sister-in-law, Violet Barino; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 306 W. Cherokee Road, Florence, SC29501 or to Evergreen Baptist Church, 6316 Pamplico Highway, Effingham, SC29541. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 PM Sunday at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 9, 2016 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in the Garden of Memories on Pamplico Highway.
