Allie Mae Munn Mcconnell

Allie Mae Munn McConnell, 75, of Florence, SC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 28, 2014 at the McLeod Hospice House. Mrs. McConnell was born in Florence, a daughter of the late Otis Ward Munn and Alma Mae Munn.She retired after twenty-one years of employment with Georgia Pacific (Dixie Cup).She was a member of Florence Baptist Temple. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers, Herbert Munn and Elliott Munn. Surviving are her husband of thirty-one years, Doward B. McConnell; her son, Donald Joseph Odom of Timmonsville; her daughter, Donna Lisa McElveen of Effingham; step-daughter, Misty Jeannette McConnell- Newell of Johnsonville; her grandchildren, Destiny Caso, Rodney Caso, Matthew Odom, Jay Newell, and Georgia Smith; her great-grandchild, Cayd Davis; her brothers, Frank Munn of Effingham and Harold Munn of Darlington; and her sisters, Clare Mae Stalvey of Florence, Mary Pearl Dalrymple ,Mildred Odom and Betty Faye Braxton, all of Effingham. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 31, 2014, at Florence Baptist Temple Chapel.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
