Alice Carolyn Soles

Alice Carolyn Soles, 80, of Florence, SC passed away on March 20, 2024. Mrs. Soles was born in Marion, SC a daughter of the late Sammie Soles and Pauline Treadway Soles. She had worked for many years with Electro-Motive Manufacturing, with A & P Grocery, Piggly Wiggly, as well as clerked at Bingo Truck Stop. She had attended Grace Baptist Church and Palmetto Street Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, David Soles and Donnie Soles; sister, Earline Walters; brothers-in-law, Horace Cordrey and Buck Matthews. Surviving are her brothers, Paul (Cindy) Soles and Sammie (Lucy) Soles, Jr.; sisters, Jean Cordrey, Linda Matthews, and Elizabeth (Lynn) Rogers; and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 pm Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Paul and Cindy Soles. The service will be held at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens.
