Marian Alice Turner Lee, 76, of Timmonsville, SC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November4, 2014. Mrs. Lee was born in Florence, a daughter of the late Lawton Leroy Turner and Marian “Peggy” Sybil Oakley Turner.She was a member of Palmetto Street Church of God and the Seniors Alive Sunday School Class.Mrs. Lee worked with the Good News Club and taught elementary school in Georgetown for twenty-nine years at Kensington Elementary School.She loved to travel with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Malcolm Turner and her sister, Jackie Lee. Surviving are her husband of fifty-five years, Bobby Bennett Lee, Sr.; her children, Jeanette (Gregg) Rhodes of Greenville, SC, Carole (David) Monroe of Clemson, and Bobby Lee, Jr. of the home; her grandchildren, Christy Monroe, Seth Monroe, Jennifer Monroe, all of Clemson; her brothers, Danny Turner, David Turner, Jacob Turner, William Turner and Ted Turner; her sister, Ginger Larke and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Palmetto Street Church of God.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
