Alice "Kathaleen" Heyward Mayo

Alice “Kathaleen” Heyward Mayo, 78, of Florence, SC, passed away after an extended illness on Monday, August 10, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Mayo was born in Florence, a daughter of the late William C. Heyward and Mamie Cross Heyward. Surviving are her children, Alice (Chip) Wallace, Karl Mayo, Jr., Kathy Trader, Wiley (Jackie) Mayo, Otis (Marian) Mayo, Marie (Harry) Tarlton, and Hettie Ray Mayo; twenty-nine grandchildren and sixty-two great-grandchildren and siblings, Clarence Heyward and Frank Heyward. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.
