Alberta Marie Biering Poole Florence, SC Alberta Marie Biering Poole, 75, of Florence, formerly of Charleston, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mrs. Poole was born in West Charleston, SC a daughter of the late Henry A. Biering and Caroline Elizabeth Britton Biering.She was a bookkeeper for River Neck Fabrication and Welding, Inc. until retirement in 2003.She was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church and active with the Women of the Church and with the Florence Little Theatre. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Lawrence Poole, who died April 6, 2005; brothers, Rudy, Gene, Cliff and Julian Biering; niece, Mary Elizabeth Weaver and sister, Clara Brown. Surviving are her daughters, Kelly Bustin of Ocala, FL and Tammy (Pete) Wulf of Timmonsville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Wiggle of Land of Lakes, FL; nephews, J.A. Biering, Jr. of Holly Hill, Steve P. Biering of Sumter, Kevin (Mary Lou) Poole of Riceboro, GA and Vince Poole of Ludowici, GA and a host of other nieces and nephews that she dearly loved. Memorials may be made to Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 5314 Old River Road, Florence, SC29505. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Hopewell Presbyterian Church.Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Mrs. Poole had requested that everyone attending her service to please wear colorful happy colors, she didn't want anyone to wear black.
