Alan Woods Phillips

ALAN WOODS PHILLIPS FLORENCE, SC Alan Woods Phillips, 73, of Florence, passed away at Medford Nursing Center after a brief illness. Mr. Phillips was born on June 12, 1941, the son of the late Buell Richmond Phillips and Natalie Woods Phillips of Ft. Smith Arkansas.He graduated from Ft. Smith High School and attended the University of Arkansas where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.He served in the Arkansas National Guard. Mr. Phillips owned and operated Automotive Color and Equipment in Florence for several years. He is survived by sons Graham W. Phillips of Louisville KY and Robert W. Phillips of St. Louis MO; sisters Sandra Long of Golden CO and Irene Bernardo of Hackett AR; and four grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are private.
