Agnes Cox Miles Kelly

AGNES COX MILES KELLY FLORENCE, SC Agnes Cox Miles Kelly, of Florence, S.C., passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday morning, January 30, 2017, at the age of 95 after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late Wade Hampton Cox and Edna McLeod Cox and the wife of the late Archie Miles and the late Jim Kelly.She was employed at Sexton Dental Clinic and was a Hospice volunteer after she retired.She loved her family and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; first and second husband; granddaughter, Melonie Miles; son-in-law, John E, Light; daughter-in-law, Janie Miles; brother, Wade Hampton Cox, Jr. and sister in law, Geri Cox, brother, Charles D. Cox and sister-in-law, Erna Cox; sister, Naomi Cox; brother-in-law, Cornell T. Doughty and nephew, Johnny Cox. Surviving are her children, Dena Dennis Light of Lexington and Melvin Miles of Columbia; grandsons, James Dennis, Edward (Heather) Dennis of Nashville, TN and Johnathan (Brittany) Dennis of Sharpsburg, KY; granddaughter, Ashley Miles (Todd) Davies of Naperville, IL; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Herman A. (Maria) Cox of Lexington and Don O. (Uldine) Cox of Florence and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 2400 Third Loop Road, Florence, SC29501 or to a charity of one’s choice. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone for their prayers and to the staff of the Heritage at Lowman for their kind and loving care for their Mother, Sister and Grandmother. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church with the family receiving friends from 2 – 3 PM prior to the service.Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
