Agnes Cecilia Johnson-Prentice

Agnes Cecilia Johnson-Prentice, 84, of Florence, SC passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. Mrs. Johnson-Prentice was born in Gettysburg, PA, the daughter of the late Edward Rogan and Mary Mullins Rogan.Aggie loved being a hairdresser for 62 years.She was well known as the owner of Agnes’ Beauty Salon in Norwich, NY.She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Catholic faith.She loved camping, dancing, boating, and her flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Catherine Wright, Eleanor Bolles, Betty Colgan, Mary Calkin, and Nancy Cole. Surviving are her husband, Clarence Prentice of Florence, SC; sons, Richard E. LaFave, II and his wife, Delilah, of Pensacola, FL, Robert Ralph of Worcester, NY, and Alton Prentice of Franklinton, LA; daughters, CherylSquires-Persons and her husband, David, of Norwich, NY, Renee Overstreet and her husband, Phillip, of Richmond, VA, Michelle Campbell and her husband, Scott, of Florence, and Penny Nabinger and her husband, Lee, of Afton, NY; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org, or to Medical Services of America Home Health and Hospice, 611 S. Dargan Street, Florence, SC29506. The family will receive friends from 11:00 – 12:00 pm Friday, July 26, 2019 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the funeral service to be held at 12:00 noon.Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens.
