Isadora Purvis Davis

Isadora Purvis Davis, 89, of Florence, SC, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018. Mrs. Davis was born in Darlington Co., SC a daughter of the late Wellins Purvis and Lola Bell Freeman Purvis.She had worked for Krispy Kreme for over 37 years and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John T. Davis, Jr.; sons, Marvin Davis, Bobby Davis, and Joe Davis, and by a sister, Doris Davis. Surviving are her son, Ronnie Davis; daughters, Isabell (Gene) Jeffords; Geraldine Morris and Peggy (Terry) Cook; daughter-in-law, Betty Davis; 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Beulah Strickland. Memorials may be made to the Church of God of Prophecy, 426 S. Church Street, Florence, SC29506. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 pm Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the Church of God of Prophecy with the service to follow at 2:00 PM.Burial will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
